History

The Stanger family began racing in 1985 when we participated in an “All Chevy” drag race as part of a national classic Chevy car show. Scott later built a 1956 Ford F-100 truck that he would race successfully for many years until purchasing our 1948 Fiat. We have raced the Fiat for over 20 years at tracks all over the Western US including, Bonneville Raceway (now Rocky Mountain Raceway), Firebird in Boise, The Strip at Las Vegas, Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, CA, Drag City in Pocatello, ID, as well as others. We have enjoyed the notoriety earned from competing with our Fiat over the years including internet exposure as well as photos featured in major racing publications, and even some TV coverage.

The recent addition of our Plymouth Cuda funny car marks our entry into the NHRA Heritage Series. The Heritage series is the fastest growing segment of drag racing with over 100 nitro funny cars now competing across the country. Our “Bad Manners” Cuda is currently the ONLY Heritage legal Nitro Funny Car in the entire state of Utah, and has already been featured at the UVU car show as well as in the publication “National Dragster”.
